New Beginnings
A support group that also offers social activities in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. There are discussion groups at members' homes several times a month, speakers and social events. This group was instrumental in helping me get back on my feet during my divorce.  I met a bunch of very nice people.  Many marriages have resulted from this group. www.newbeginningsusa.org

Parent Without Partners (PWP)   
A wonderful organization for divorced people with children offering support and friendship.  There are local area chapters.  They have a variety of events with and without the children. www.parentswithoutpartners.org.
